Supply
of IBM V7000 Storage Upgrade Solution of Blade Centre Solution for the
Government Wide Common Architecture (GWCA) Environment
• Tender
offers are invited for the supply, installation and carry out upgrade
configuration of IBM V7000 storage solution for Government Wide Common
Architecture Environment at the Department of Information Technology.
• The Procuring Department is Department of Information Technology.
• The
Department of Information Technology requires a contractor to upgrade
the current operational storage environment. The current environment
comprises of two V7000 storage systems with 45TB raw disk space each.
One storage system is in production site and the other in the backup
site. Easy tier must be enabled and all necessary software licencing
applied to the system. The contractor is to supply, install and
configure the storage upgrade solution proposed in their bid at both
site.
• A
site visit is required to get a better understanding of the project and
is mandatory for all contractors. The site visit will be held at DIT
Block 6 office on 13 June 2013 at 10:00. DIT will contact and invite all
contractors who have purchased the ITT document and a site visit
register will be signed by attendees. (See Annexure 4).
• This
is an Open Tender to Local Accredited Business Partners in Botswana.
However, preference will be given to l00% citizen owned local companies
with majority citizen employees. Bidders must be registered with PPADB
in order to be considered for award of a contract.

Document
can be obtained from 08:00 to 16:30 with effect from 3 June 2013 at
Accounts Section, 9th Floor, Block 8 (Ministry of Labour and Home
Affairs), Department of Information Technology DIT, Government Enclave,
Private Bag 0050, Gaborone, Botswana.
A
non-refundable tender fee of P500.00 payment (cash) shall be paid for
this Tender Document at the Accounts Section Room, Department of
Information Technology.

The
Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board's Standardised Conditions
of Tender apply to this procurement, for which all the applicable Tender

Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, the Government of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer.
